The kumquat harvest began on January 21 at our kumquat farm located in Kumamoto City!
The harvest starts early in the morning.
Each kumquat is carefully harvested one by one, and after checking for any damage, they are sorted and inspected by size.

The fully ripe kumquat 'Hōgyoku' has ripened thanks to the pollination by honeybees, as its name suggests.
Kumquats that have ripened through bee pollination are characterized by their good shape and a high sugar content of 16 to 20 degrees!

This year was a back year*, but we were able to produce large, shiny, high-quality kumquats.
* Generally, a year with a large number of fruits is called a front year, while a year with fewer fruits is called a back year.
Ripe kumquats, nurtured over about a year by beekeeping members and bees.
With thin skin, they can be washed and eaten as is, delivering a fresh taste directly from the production area!
Currently, we are accepting reservations through the official online store and by phone.
