At SUGI BEE GARDEN, we practice migratory beekeeping, moving north with the seasons and flowering periods to collect honey.
This year, the season has come to send bees from Kumamoto to Akita.
On the night of May 20, a truck carrying 235 boxes of bees departed from Kumamoto.
Additionally, on the 25th, an extra 115 boxes will be sent, making a total of 350 boxes of bees heading for honey harvesting in Akita.

At the Nishizato beehive near the headquarters, loading work began at 7:30 PM.
Due to the high temperature, it took the bees a long time to return to the hive, so the work continued late into the night.

At 9:20 PM, all loading was completed, and we departed for Noshiro City in Akita Prefecture.
The travel distance is approximately 1600 km.
To minimize the burden on the bees during transport, ice is placed between the hives, and they are transported with the utmost care.
After arriving in Akita, we plan to collect honey until around the end of June.
We are looking forward to the bees' performance in Akita!
