We went to check out the hives in preparation for this year's honey harvest!

We are now in the honey harvesting season, the time when honeybees shine brightest.
Honey harvesting will continue at a high pace until around summer.
This time, I will be writing a blog from the perspective of a new employee, as I joined the company in April of this year!

After harvesting the milk vetch honey, we went to check the hives in preparation for harvesting the mandarin honey.

Inspecting the hives is one of the most important tasks in beekeeping, not only to check the amount of honey stored, but also to check the condition of the bees and whether there are any pests such as mites.

Today, many energetic bees emerged from the hives set up under a cloudless blue sky that evokes early summer, making loud buzzing sounds!

When we removed the frames from the hive, we could see beautiful, sparkling honey.

Sometimes they build nests this big.

There were also lovely wild rose flowers blooming near the beehives.

The bees were in very good condition and flying around energetically, but due to the abnormal weather in recent years, there are particularly few bees this year, and the recent rain has caused the tangerine blossoms to start falling, so I am worried about the harvesting of tangerine nectar.
Beekeeping is very difficult as it involves dealing with nature and living things.

However, the temperature is gradually rising and honey harvesting is finally starting in earnest.
We hope to be able to deliver delicious honey to as many customers as possible this year!
