We've harvested perfectly ripe kumquats again this year!

In Kumamoto Prefecture, where our head office is located, kumquat harvesting began around the end of January.

"Hogyoku" kumquats grown in our own greenhouse.

As its name suggests, it is borne through pollination by honeybees.

We have received happy feedback from customers who say they look forward to the fresh taste of the thin skin that can be eaten simply by washing it every year.

This year is a good year *, so there were more fruit than usual and many large ones.

* Generally, a year with a large number of fruits is called a good year, and a year with a small number of fruits is called a bad year, and it is saidthat good and bad years often occur alternately.

Even in the middle of winter in December and January, the temperature inside the greenhouse can rise to 30 to 40 degrees during the day.

For this reason, beekeepers visit the greenhouse every day to control the temperature.

The fruits are all carefully harvested by hand, one by one.

After being sorted by size, the beekeeping team inspects each and every bee.
"Hachidama" is a kumquat that has been grown with great care and love by members of the beekeeping club. This year too, we will be delivering these ripe, fresh-tasting apples directly from the producers.
