[SUGI BEE GARDEN establishes new company in New Zealand]
SUGI BEE GARDEN (Kumamoto City), a honey manufacturer, has established a beekeeping company in New Zealand called "Sugi Bee Garden (New Zealand)." The amount of investment has not been disclosed. Honey that meets the New Zealand government's quality standards will be transported to Japan, where it will be bottled and made into products. The aim is to ensure a stable supply of Manuka honey, a type of honey native to the country, and to improve beekeeping techniques.
