Off to Akita!

On the night of Tuesday the 23rd, the bees in the hives left Kumamoto and headed for Akita.

The first shipment was loaded onto trucks on the 14th (Sunday) of this month, and the second shipment was loaded onto trucks the other day.

Each trip takes a full day to get to Akita.

The bees who collected honey in Kumamoto and their homes, the hives

It is a spectacular sight to see the entire beekeeping club come together to load the bees onto large trucks.

As you can see, the truck is overflowing with hives, hives, hives...

How many boxes? Can your tires withstand it?

This truck has 235 hives on it this time!

The total weight is about 3 tons!

It's extremely heavy.

The hives at SUGI BEE GARDEN are individually handcrafted, and the bees that live there.

This is the kind of volume that can only be achieved through beekeeping, which coexists with nature.

The loading work was done carefully so as not to harm the delicate bees.

This is done quickly and by the beekeeping team themselves.

The speed of their work, cultivated through years of experience, even impresses transport companies.

With love and encouragement for the bees,

The truck carrying the hives left for Akita just after 9:00 p.m.

May you fly happily in faraway lands.
