A new queen bee has been born!

We are currently conducting "bee separation" at a bee farm in Kikuchi City.

When the hive is full of bees,

We will move the bees to a new hive so that they can live comfortably.

This process is called "bee division."

The new hive does not have a queen bee,

The beekeeping club members carefully raise the queen bee larvae and place them in new hives.

The beekeeping club members then regularly check to see if the larvae are developing properly into queen bees.

(The big bee in the center of the picture is the queen bee.)

The queen bee then gives birth to new bees,

The bees help us store nectar and pollinate our crops.
