SUGI BEE GARDEN was born 80 years ago in 1946, in Kumamoto, Kyushu.
When the founder, Takeo Sugi, jumped into the world of beekeeping, it started with just 3 beehives.

This time, we will partially publish a greeting from the President, Kimiko Sugi, from the member newsletter "Honeybee Communication, September-October Issue (Published on August 17, 2026)" in commemoration of the 80th anniversary of SUGI BEE GARDEN.

Thanks to your support, SUGI BEE GARDEN has been able to celebrate its 80th anniversary this year.

In 1946, the founder, Takeo Sugi, started beekeeping in Kumamoto with three beehives.
"I want to produce delicious honey in the rich nature of Kumamoto." This challenge, begun with such dreams and passion, has been carried on to this day, supported by many connections.

Over the 80 years of our journey, we have experienced major natural disasters such as the Great East Japan Earthquake and the Kumamoto Earthquake, as well as various changes in social conditions.
In recent years, the impact of climate change has significantly altered the blooming conditions of flowers and the honey collection environment. Even amidst such changes, we have received warm words of encouragement from customers across the country.
The support we have received from all of you has become our strength and has been the driving force for us to continue our journey to this day.

In this 80th Anniversary Grand Opening Festival, we have prepared special products as a token of our gratitude for your continued patronage.
Starting with the limited-time revival of "Pineapple & Honey" that was sold 30 years ago, we have gathered products created by Takeo Sugi in an 80th Anniversary commemorative set, among other items that we want to deliver precisely because of this milestone.

The journey of SUGI BEE GARDEN, which started with three boxes of beehives, is also an 80-year history built together with our customers.
As a beekeeping company, we will continue to strive to create safe, delicious products without forgetting our gratitude to bees and nature, and we will support your healthy daily life.

With a heart full of gratitude, as we move forward towards our 100th anniversary and beyond, I would like to sincerely thank everyone who has supported SUGI BEE GARDEN for the past 80 years.
