Kyoto, the Imperial Palace, was the capital of Japan for over 1,000 years since the Heian period. Yasaka Shrine, located near our Kyoto Sanjo store, has its tower gate and main hall designated as important cultural properties. Our Kyoto Sanjo store is located in the center of Sanjo Meitengai, facing Kawaramachi Street. Sanjo Meitengai is connected to Shinkyogoku Street and Teramachi Street, forming the largest arcade street in Kyoto. Our store is within a 20-minute walk of Kyoto Gyoen, the former Imperial Palace, and Nijo Castle, the lodgings of Shogun Ieyasu, so why not use it as a starting point for touring Kyoto?
