Tree planting again this year in Kumamoto Prefecture

At SUGI BEE GARDEN, we plant trees in Kumamoto Prefecture at the end of each year.

This year, a total of 40 Kuroganemochi trees were planted in Kumamoto city and the Amakusa area.

They are often planted as roadside trees, so you may have seen them before.

Kuroganyo, characterized by its small red berries, is an important nectar source for honeybees.

The small white flowers that bloom from May to June produce an abundance of nectar and pollen, making it a feast for honeybees.

This year's seedlings had thick trunks and heavy roots, making it difficult to load them onto the truck.

A member of the beekeeping club was impressed, saying, "This year's seedlings may be the best we've seen recently."

Firm the soil so that the roots can take hold properly.

Kuroganemochi blooms during the peak honey harvesting season from May to June.

Multi-flower honey is a mixture of nectar from many different flowers, and it may even contain nectar from the Japanese silverleaf that you planted in the winter!

If you look closely, you'll see Einstein's famous quote on the back!

"If all the bees in the world disappeared, humanity would become extinct in four years"

We will continue to plant trees in order to create a healthy environment for both bees and us.
