Tree planting in Kumamoto Prefecture

At this time every year, SUGI BEE GARDEN plants trees in various parts of Kumamoto Prefecture.

This year, in mid-December, we planted many tree seedlings in three locations in Kumamoto City and the Kikuka area of Yamaga City in the north of the prefecture.

Tree planting activities also fall under our company's "SDGs" initiative.

The term "SDGs" has become commonplace in recent years,

We have been engaged in tree planting activities for some time, believing that they are essential for creating an environment in which both humans and bees can live healthily.

The tree planting activity began at 7:00 in the morning.

The work was carried out in unstable weather with light rain and then heavy downpours.

This year's five types of trees are: Sakaki, Japanese holly, Japanese snowbell, Cleaver, and Japanese holly.

We will prepare 10 of each type, for a total of 50 trees to be planted in various locations.

It had rained the day before so the ground should have been softer than usual, but the bamboo grove behind us had deep, strong roots, making it difficult to dig a hole.

The beekeeping staff worked with their entire weight on the shovels.

Finally, a mark was tied on the tree so that it would be clear that it belongs to SUGI BEE GARDEN when it is maintained in the future.

We are always blessed with the blessings of nature.

At the end of each year, we give back to show our gratitude.
