The bees have arrived in Hokkaido!

The 235 boxes of bees left Kumamoto on June 20th.

After about two days, we arrived in Hama-naka Town, Hokkaido in the evening of the 22nd.

Hama-naka Town is rich in nature and has a great climate, and is also famous for dairy farming.

On site, before the bees arrived

Beekeeping club members were mowing the grass and putting up electric fences in the apiaries.

Today, we unloaded the hives from the truck and set them up in each apiary in the Hama-naka and Akkeshi areas.

In Hokkaido, we plan to harvest acacia honey, linden honey, etc.

We will let you know again when honey harvesting begins!
